Soho House launched their newest house, Soho Warehouse, with Aquabatix synchronized swimmers in LA. Aquabatix has had a long relationship with the Soho House group, and were delighted to perform for the two night launch in their beautiful rooftop pool with stunning views over DTLA.
Soho House is a group of private members clubs aimed at those in the creative and arts industries, based all over Europe, North America as well as expanding into Asia. Established in London in the mid 90’s, the group now have several properties in the US including four in the Los Angeles area. Their signature rooftop pools often have beautiful views and are the perfect place for a pool party and for Aquabatix to perform in, be it for a global brand launch, performing with a live band playing a gig there, or just one of their infamous inhouse parties.
Soho Warehouse is built in the Arts District, and their rooftop pool with stunning downtown views is designed to let patrons fully capture California’s infamous golden sunsets. So for the preview launch it made perfect sense to have a creative performance, and the Soho House event’s team couldn’t wait to get Aquabatix involved.
The Aquabatix synchronized swimmers were dressed in white lululemon swimsuits, military jackets and hats and in heels . The synchronized swimmers were lead out by two models and weaved amongst the guests around the deck.area . The Aquabatix swimmers may have taken off their jackets and caps, but kept the heels on as they stepped into the infinity pool during a beautiful LA sunset. The routine was specifically designed to incorporate shoes into the performance and was choreographed to Rosalia’s Aute Cuture for a diverse feel by one of the top Aquabatix synchronized swimming choreographers.
The huge guests soon crowded around the pool with their phones capturing the synchronized swimming and a beautiful sunset as a back drop. As mentioned in the Architectural Digest, “The opening party kicked off with an Instagrammable performance by the synchronized swimming group Aquabatix in the rooftop pool.”
